WHAT IS WINTER BEACH CAMP?
Winter Beach Camp is an exciting getaway for students in Years 6 to 12!
It’s packed with fun, friendship, and opportunities to grow in your faith. Whether you’ve been coming to youth group for a while or are totally new, this camp is designed to help you connect with others, explore who Jesus is, and discover what it means to follow Him.
You can expect all your favourite youth group moments, just bigger, better, and right by the beach! There’ll be heaps of activities, epic games, live music, prayer, engaging talks, and small group discussions you won’t want to miss.
Shirt included
This year, we include a shirt for your youth to take home as a camp memory.
Please let us know your size when registering for camp to ensure you receive a shirt that fits well.
Our Leaders
Our leaders are experienced paid staff and volunteers who are all committed members of St Johns Anglican Church. Appropriate ‘safe ministry’ training has been completed by all leaders, and risk management procedures are in place. We will do our best to ensure the safety of the campers while on camp and whilst travelling.
Senior Students
For year 11 or 12 students who would like to come on camp but need time to study, a room can be set aside devoted to private study and some of the activities on camp can be optional. Please speak to Tim if you would like to pursue this option.
WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?
July 9th – 12th – 2026
Our camp is run from the Chittick Lodge, Gerringong which is about 1.5 hours from Camden, just south of Kiama. The campsite has dorm-style accommodation and is within walking distance of Werri Beach. Their website is: www.chitticklodge.org.au
Meet at St John’s Anglican Church at 1pm, on Thursday 9th of July. The bus departs at 1:15pm and travels to Gerringong. Returning Sunday, 12th of July at 4:30 pm.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
Registration and payment will be processed online when registrations open.
Total cost for the Camp is:
Early Bird: $400 (Ends May 31)
Normal ticket: $425
If you would prefer to pay in cash, please visit our office during the week and we’ll be happy to help you register your child in person.
Financial Assistance
We’ve done our best to keep camp costs as low as possible, but we understand this may still be a stretch for some families. If cost is a concern, we’d love to help. We can offer flexible payment plans or financial assistance, thanks to the generosity of members of our church community.
